2 bodies of immigrants found in desert

Border Patrol agents recovered the bodies of two Mexican nationals in remote desert areas on Saturday.

Agents from the Border Patrol’s Tucson Sector called the Pima County Sheriff’s Office after they were contacted by somebody who found skeletal remains near Highway 286 west of Green Valley. Evidence at the site identified the remains as those of a female Mexican national.

Also Saturday, agents discovered the body of a male Mexican national in a remote desert area in Santa Cruz County.

In other Border Patrol related news:

  • Douglas Station Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal immigrant from Mexico on Sunday and, while processing him discovered he had been charged with “Lascivious Acts with a Child under 14.”
  • Border Patrol agents from the Naco Station arrested 48 illegal immigrants from Mexico in a remote desert area Sunday.

  • Border Patrol agents from the Tucson Station arrested eight Chinese nationals in a remote desert area on Monday. Border Patrol agents from the Nogales Station arrested two Chinese nationals Sunday and three on Saturday west of Nogales, Ariz.


  • Ajo Station Border Patrol agents received notification of an activated rescue beacon in the west desert Sunday and found an illegal immigrant from Mexico who did not require medical attention.
