Pucker up loyal readers.

Clever, clever Dale Miller. This Green Valley resident adores stitching and has been a needlepoint enthusiast for years. Just like most stitchers, she confesses to hoarding a lot of <0x201C>stash.<0x201D> That<0x2019>s Miller<0x2019>s expression for all the oodles of canvases, accessories, threads and other paraphernalia that goes with the world of stitching.
Miller also knows the expense that comes with her craft. Just to let it sit in drawers and closets waiting to be sewn (if ever) just adds to the clutter, so she decided to do something about it, helping all other stitchers who are collectors just like she is. Miller<0x2019>s husband, David, with a great head for business, encouraged her to start her own retail store online.
Dale started selling some of her excess stash on eBay about three years ago.
<0x201C>Friends heard what I had been doing and asked if I could sell some of their stash and turn it into cash,<0x201D> she said. <0x201C>My inventory has grown to the point of opening my own website.<0x201D>
Dale<0x2019>s new company, Canvases Be Gone, got a thumbs up from other stitchers who, like Dale, had loads of stash to sell.
Dale donates 10 percent of the final sale to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Dale has also been featured in needlepointnow.com, a magazine dedicated to the art of needlepoint.
Here<0x2019>s the scoop: canvasesbegone.com is Dale<0x2019>s consignment business for needlepoint canvases and needlepoint-related items. Once she gets the stash, Dale takes pictures and inventories all the merchandise. She discusses the price the seller would like to get for the goods and when an agreement has been reached, she displays the photo with the price. (Dale looks for high-quality goods. Even partially stitched items have a market.)
If you want to rid yourself of excess stash, are looking for a unique canvas or just want to view her site, visit www.CanvasesBeGone.com. Dale can be reached at 520-207-2423 or by e-mail: miller85614@msn.com.
