A young girl’s generosity

Published: Saturday, December 12, 2009 6:39 PM MST

Editor:

This week, a woman called Paws Patrol and said she wanted to make a cat food donation. Actually, her daughter, who is just turning 8 years old, was making the donation.

It seems Corinne had recently adopted a cat (from another group) who is having health issues and instead of getting a present for her birthday, she wanted to give food and litter to kitties who need it. What a very thoughtful and generous thing to do!

Corinne and her parents brought the food to Paws Patrol and she spent some time with two kittens who are just being weaned from their feral mom.

Corinne’s unselfish act should make we adults pause for a few minutes during this holiday season to remember it is more blessed to give than to receive.

We at Paws Patrol have truly been touched by Corinne and her unselfish birthday wish.

Happy Birthday, Corinne, and thank you SO much for your gift to the kitties! Paws Patrol Kitties (and volunteers, too!)
