When David Aquilino opened his business in April he already knew that Sahuarita would be his home base.

“I had studied the area and I felt the Sahuarita/Green Valley held the most growth potential for my business. Of course, being close to home had a lot to do with it, too,” he said.

Aquilino credits his rapid growth to being involved in all aspects of the cooling and heating business at a very young age. He was in air conditioning school at 18, then honed his skills as a helper, installer and troubleshooting technician.

In addition to the service end of the business, Aquilino is experienced in systems sales.

“I learned early on that what matters most is providing the right system for the structure and lifestyle of the home or building that I am working on. When I do my load calculations, I often think of my customers as a family ... what activities are they engaged in, do they entertain, does their age or medical condition require more or less cooling or heating?” Aquilino said.

Accurate Air Control services all brands of cooling and heating systems, including evaporative coolers. One of its specialties is the installation of “mini-split” ductless systems that are an efficient way to add cooling and heating to older homes or casitas, and hard-to-reach or separate living spaces.

“There are so many affordable options like mini-split ductless systems out there that can solve a bunch of cooling and heating problems. I recently installed a cooling system for a special wine room for one of my customers.” Aquilino said.

While building a strong customer base, in a challenging economy, Aquilino also has his eyes on the future.

“Current economic conditions have not had much of a negative impact on our business. I find our homeowners and property managers a bit more diligent about servicing their systems, and we continue to respond quickly to any emergency service calls,” he said.
