KUAT-TV, Channel 6’s Bill Buckmaster, left, had a chance meeting with former CBS News anchor Dan Rather, right, during a week-long visit on Isla de Santa Cruz, one of the main islands in the Galapagos. Rather was finishing a documentary on the islands for the “HD Channel” to air in September. Buckmaster and his wife, Ann, went to Galapagos, Ecuador and Peru on their vacation trip. Buckmaster says he has visited 73 countries in some three decades of international travel. |
